Bowman Platinum definitely has caught the attention of a number of different people recently, if not only because of chances to hit jersey autographs of guys like Mike Trout and Bryce Harper. However, it isnt the minimal cards that dropped my jaw, as there are a few that have surfaced recently that made me swoon a bit.
The first are the jumbo patch auto cards that look absolutely stunning, despite the fact that they are stickers. I just love the way the rectangular swatches look on horizontal cards, as there is that much more room for all the elements that I value in a well composed design. Check out some of these awesome ones:

Additionally, there are signed Metal cards that are each 1/1, where the player has signed directly on a surface that has to be pretty cool in person. Even though the scans dont transfer well to eBay, I really think these are SO much better than the ugly printing plates that are in every product these days.

Lastly, we saw arguably the best hit in the product hit ebay, the 1/1 Bryce Harper Bat Nameplate. For once, I like the look of a bat card, something that I havent felt in forever. I think this card looks that much better than the bat knob or nameplate cards from recent sets, and I think this one has a shot at breaking 5K:

I said that Bowman Platinum really looked amazing but fell short of memorable a couple of days ago. I might be changing my mind.
To me these are the kind of cards that when people who dont collect cards see them they like them. We need more of this.
