Breast cancer awareness month and the NFL have been teaming up for a number of years to support one of the largest national charities around. Its a great program, and does help out a ton across the board in raising awareness and money to fight a disease that has taken the lives of many women.

Both Panini and Topps are also getting in the act of giving, and have created card sets that will be released as part of “A Crucial Catch” to support the drive. As part of these sets, Topps released a 1/1 of Cam Newton with a special pink border that is currently up on eBay as we speak. Im going to be honest and say that I dont know quite how this collector came to possess this card, but it is defintely gaining some attention. Its already at a pretty large price for an oddball card like this one, and I am curious to see where it ends up.

When you see that other huge pulls from Cam Newton have sold for ridiculous prices, this one should be no different. I think its a great idea to make cards like this, as it gives collectors another opportunity to support a wonderful cause.

When you see cards like this Finest Superfractor sell for what it did, its a unique opportunity to build off popularity of player collectors wanting the rarest of the rare. Why not create cards to help a good cause? I think there should be more done the same way for other cause, especially in baseball.

In Panini Gridiron Gear released later this year, more BCA cards will be released, and I for one give kudos for putting together products with these types of inserts.
