Yesterday I talked about how the 2013 Bowman set compared to other historical sets released at this time. Now that some of the auctions are starting to pop up, it looks like there is some nice value in the boxes people are going to be breaking, if the first breaks hold true to the rest.

2013 Bowman Chrome Marcus Lattimore Refractor Auto

On blowout, a guy busted 9 boxes and posted results in the forum. In the 9 boxes, it looks like he averaged over 1 color refractor auto per box and a mini auto a little over 1 every other box. That is pretty good stuff considering that many of the autos will not carry huge value unless they are rare refractors.
My only complaint is that the refractor parallel structure is different than both normal Bowman and Topps Chrome from what it looks like, something that I think might make things confusing on relative value of the parallels. People seem to understand what a normal refractor and its parallels mean for value multipliers, and its not as evident when the structure is adjusted.
Base parallels may also make it difficult:

I think there is a lot to a product like this, as I am pretty sure the chrome technology will sell better than people think. That being said, there is also tremendous merit on the collector side in waiting until after the premiere and starting the calendar each year with an inception style product. NFL and college LICENSED jerseys determine collectability in a lot of cases, even if those jerseys depicted are a visual train wreck. Im curious to see whether or not a rookie focused product like this has legs.
