High Expectations and High Exectution for 2011 Finest 1/1s

When it comes to ramping up their 1/1 offerings in Inception, Topps did a great job for the most part. Team logos graced many of the high end looking patch cards, and a lot of people were looking forward to finest to see how they improved upon this tendency. So far there have been a few that have hit eBay from 2011 Finest, and for the most part, many of them are at the level of Inception or better. In fact, I would even say that a few of them look that much better. I just LOVE the jumbo relic design, its absolutely tremendous for a sticker auto.

We are starting to see a few things that werent exactly clear on the sell sheet. First off, the rookie patch autos and the rookie/vet jumbo relics all have supers, as well as the base on card autos and a lot of the other subsets. Although I REALLY dislike that they are watering down the superfractor brand, at this point it’s a drop in the bucket after how many supers made it onto the market last year in three products and more.

Here are some of the bigger hits that have been posted, color me very impressed with a lot of these cards. They just look like they deserve to be 1/1s, with the exception of the Patch on the Jones. However, after you see the price, its easy to see that the patch made little difference in the final price.
