Finest has been on shelves for less than a week, but one of the biggest cards in the product has been pulled. At a card shop here in Texas, a lucky collector pulled the Robert Griffin III Superfractor on card auto, much to the dismay of all the people who were hoping it was in their box.
Here is the auction:
2012 Finest Robert Griffin III Superfractor 1/1 Auto RC
Im not someone that likes the way the Superfractor pattern looks on a card, but I appreciate its place in the hobby lexicon. This card is impressive to say the least, as the on card auto and sleek design has slowly become one of my favorites of the year. Here are some of the other 1/1s already pulled and posted:
2012 Finest Trent Richarson / Brandon Weeden Dual Patch Auto 1/1 Superfractor
2012 Finest Doug Martin Superfractor 1/1 Auto RC
2012 Finest Rueben Randle 1/1 Black Refractor Nike Logo Jumbo Auto
2012 Finest Christian Ponder Jumbo Auto Relic Superfractor 1/1
The only other card I could see being worth more than this one, is the Andrew Luck Superfractor, and its more of a comparative card than a superior one. Because there are in upwards of 5 Superfractors per player, it becomes a game of which one collectors want more. Usually the base auto supers reckon back to the Bowman line in similarity, so those tend to be the most valuable. However, there are also patch auto supers, jumbo relic auto supers, base card supers, and then all the other inserts have supers too.
Its only a matter of time before the other cards start to show up, but this one is right up there with the best of the best. Too bad he didnt put an inscription in there like Cam Newton did last year.
RG3’s signature is prolly my favorite out of the rookies this year. Love Finest but the high number hits of 1500 and 1358 where a big surprise to me. You usually see those type of high numbers in Prime and Platinum.
